DAY TO NIGHT SKINCARE PRODUCTS GUIDE:
Healthy & glowing skin with a flawless base comes with proper Skincare begins in the correct order with the CTM approach, which is crucial for preparing the skin for the makeup application.
- Cleansing
- Toning
- Facial Serum/Essential Oil (optional, as it varies from skin to skin)
- Moisturizing
- Under-Eye Cream/Serum
1. CLEANSING:
The first step is to cleanse and remove the dirt from the face with a cleanser.
Go for a cleanser appropriate to your skin type, form a foamy layer on the face, & rinse it off with water.
Doing facial cleansing lets the skin stay clean and hydrated.
TIP: If no cleanser is available, can use wet wipes/Facewash (as suited).
2. TONING:
An Important Step as it penetrates and tones your skin, and if there are too many pores with toning, it will be shrunk and release less oil and help the makeup stay long over the tanned skin.
Toning is to be carried out mainly by those who have large open pores & oily to combination skin.
It is skippable for dry and sensitive skin people.
HOW: Spray tonner directly to the face or Spray over cotton and dab it onto the open pores of the face for tightened skin.
TIP: If no tonner is available, take Ice and gently dab over the open pores on the skin, suitable for any skin type.
3. FACIAL SERUM/ESSENTIAL OIL:
Face serums are somewhat similar to cleanser or moisturizer as it also carries the properties of making your skin hydrated.
Inconsistency tends to be thin and oil-formulated, to penetrate deeply to layers of the skin, leaving it more nourished & glowing.HOW: Take a few drops over the face & gently massage in a circular motion with one or two fingers or with the help of Gua Sha till it gets absorbed. TIP: Vitamin C-based serums work best for all skin types to help eliminate dark spots & hyperpigmentation.
5. UNDER-EYE CREAM:
An under-eye cream also acts as a moisturizer that soothes the under-eye area to remain hydrated.
It also reduces the fine lines under the eyes.
HOW: After cleansing the face, take an appropriate amount of products onto the skin around the eyes.
Pat & massage in a circular motion until absorbed completely.
TIP: Before trying for the first time, it’s suggested to do a patch test, mainly for sensitive skin.
4. MOISTURIZING :
Use a moisturizer, if with SPF that would work as two in one for your skin with SPF as sunscreen protector and as a moisturizer, helping the skin smoothen and prep it for the next step.
For oily skin, water-based moisturizer.
For dry skin, a thick consistency-based moisturizer works great.
TIP: To be carried out by every skin type, no matter what, to keep the makeup’s skin and base hydrated.
